About

 My name is Mathieu Carrière. I began my music education at the age of 6 with piano lessons. I later obtained my Bachelor of Music at McMaster University in 2012, and

gained experience in music teaching by teaching high school music in 2014. In 2017, I become a qualified teacher, completing my B. Ed at Brock University. 

I have spent years performing in numerous bands as pianist, guitarist, singer, and drummer. These days I focus on my career as a music teacher and piano accompanist. 

I've had the opportunity to teach over 200 students since the beginning of my career, and continue to hone my methods as I continue down this path.

 It is my belief that with the proper teaching approach, anyone with motivation to learn can possess the ability to play any instrument. 

My goal is to provide my students with a music learning experience that will be positive, and that'll give them the tools necessary to carry on independently as musicians in the future.

All students have their own way of learning , and I tailor all of my lessons individually so that my students can get the most out of their music education.
